Introducing LINC: Bridging the Gap in UMN Research

Magnifying glass revealing glowing network connections.

LINC (Learn, Innovate, Network, and Collaborate) is a new collaboration formed by leaders across the University to bolster UMN’s interdisciplinary capabilities with the aim of increasing system-wide connections and information sharing to address today’s complex challenges and better position the UMN for new and larger funding opportunities. LINC’s mission is to foster a collaborative ecosystem among the hundreds of centers, institutes, and offices at the University of Minnesota, enabling strategic coordination, interdisciplinary collaboration, and resource mobilization that drives high-impact initiatives and increases our competitiveness for a variety of funding opportunities to help solve society’s most pressing challenges.

The leaders of LINC are hosting their first event for center and institute leads to meet with each other and engage in lively, collaborative conversations focused on: sharing unit work and expertise, learning how peers are tackling shared challenges, and helping shape how LINC can be most useful to you in the year ahead.
