The Research and Innovation Office (RIO) is seeking nominations for its Research Technical Staff Award, which recognizes research staff for their significant contributions and distinguished service to the UMN research community. RIO will start accepting nominations on April 28.
Ten personal honorariums of $2,000 each will be awarded to eligible staff who are involved in the practice of research or in support of faculty who are performing research. Eligible positions include: research technicians, research associates/assistants, and research data management and analysis staff. Positions that are not eligible include: tenured, tenure track, clinical track, and research track faculty; administrators; postdocs; students; and RIO unit employees including those in the academic centers and institutes.
Nomination requirements include two letters of support that address the evaluation criteria and a copy of the nominee's CV or resume. The nomination deadline is June 2, 2025. Awardees will be announced in September 2025.
