The International Year of Global Understanding (IYGU) Story Maps Competition is a contest aimed at young people from around the world to help raise awareness of the global implications of local everyday actions. Esri is inviting high school and college age students to share their perspectives and research on topics associated with global understanding by creating story maps that examine and address the ways in which we inhabit our increasingly globalized world. As you may recall, the University of Minnesota is participating in the national FDP Expanded Clearinghouse pilot, which began on March 28.  The pilot has been running smoothly and a second cohort of institutions has joined the pilot last week. There are now 78 member institutions currently participating with 127 entity profiles which can be found at: http://sites.nationalacademies.org/PGA/fdp/PGA_171219
