Assessing Capacity to Consent to Research
The Assessing Capacity to Consent to Research course is accredited by the University of Minnesota Office of Continuing Professional Development and is certified for 4.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Study personnel participating in the consent process for studies enrolling adults with absent, diminished, or fluctuating capacity to consent are required to complete this course.
However, everyone who participates in the consent process for studies enrolling adult participants, whether or not the participants have absent, diminished, or fluctuating capacity to consent, is encouraged to complete the course. The course is available through Training Hub.
Clinical Human Research Training Portfolio
These 30 self-paced, interactive training modules, are intended for investigators, research staff, specialists, and leaders responsible for the ethical conduct of human research. The modules, developed by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, provide high-quality programming, empowering human research professionals with best practices and tools. Module topics cover basic, intermediate, to advanced curriculum. A majority of the modules are also certified for continuing education credits, at no additional cost to the research community.
