Research Animal Resources (RAR) is enhancing its communications strategy to ensure that labs receive real-time alerts regarding vivarium disruptions.
Within three hours of identifying an issue that impacts your animals, we will notify your teams. Potential issues include:
- HVAC and lighting fluctuations
- Excessive noise levels
- Changes to vivarium or animal access
- Atypical housing conditions or incidents leading to altered husbandry operations that could impact animal welfare
We will collaborate with Facilities Management and our vendors to monitor the situation and will continue to provide updates as new information is available.
