Becky Lowery comes to Technology Commercialization from the University’s Sponsored Projects Administration, where she worked for eight years negotiating, drafting, and processing the University’s zero dollar agreements, including nondisclosure and material transfer agreements.
In Technology Commercialization, Becky is responsible for drafting and processing technology transfer agreements. Becky maintains and monitors all active agreements to confirm the compliance of reporting and commitment of terms.
After earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Becky journeyed to Kyoto, Japan, where she spent a year teaching English and traveling throughout Asia, including China and Malaysia. Returning to the US, Becky obtained a position with Ernst & Young, LLP where she worked as the administrator of the Japan Business Group.
Seeking new challenges, Becky obtained a law degree from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, where she worked on the DePaul Law Review, and earned a certificate in general intellectual property law.
