Henry Kostalik joined the Technology Commercialization group in 2018 as a Technology Portfolio Manager. In this role he works with faculty to assess, protect, and develop commercialization strategies for their intellectual property.
Henry comes to the University of Minnesota from 3M where he spent 7 years and has experience as a product developer, project manager, and lab manager. In his most recent role as Commercialization Manager in 3M’s Commercial Solutions Division he was responsible for operational planning and prioritization, metrics analysis, global launch coordination and the cross-functional phase gate review process. Henry also has experience drafting proposals to government program solicitations and managing the timeline and budget for awarded programs to bring new technologies to market.
Henry is a Certified Scrum Master and Product Owner and has a Ph.D. in chemistry from Cornell University and a B.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
