UMII has a new graphic element thanks to Augie Park, a College of Design graduate student and a graduate research assistant at Design Thinking @College of Design.

The network theme of the graphic element communicates UMII’s aspiration of being the link among the many nodes where research data are acquired, analyzed, or stored, such as the University of Minnesota’s high-throughput facilities, the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute, the Office of Information Technology, the Libraries, or UMII Services. Augie applies design thinking to the development of solutions. She gathers research to communicate effectively through visual graphics. Augie's expertise includes branding and identity, UX/UI, typography, HTML/CSS, print layouts, and research. Her strategy utilizes interdisciplinary knowledge of history, design thinking, psychology, and tea. Lots of tea. She creates, develops, and codes. She is a designer.
