Applications will be accepted starting August 17 for the fall 2026 Grant-in-Aid of Research, Artistry, and Scholarship program, sponsored by the Research and Innovation Office.
The Grant-in-Aid program supports the University’s strategic plan Elevate Extraordinary 2030 and academic excellence through the promotion of research, scholarly, and artistic activities of faculty throughout the University. Grant funds provide seed funding for a wide range of projects in seven funding categories, including a Social Justice Impact category. In FY 2026, 54 grants were awarded with an average award of $41,580.
Note: We are especially interested in supporting entrepreneurial or collaborative projects that could result in near-term impact.
Timeline to apply:
August 17, 2026: Start accepting applications
September 14, 2026: Deadline for applications to be routed to approvers
September 17, 2026: Deadline for approvers to submit final applications to RIO
