What are F&A Bases?
In the PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial System (EFS), all of the F&A Bases are contained in the "GM_FA_BASE tree", which we maintain. Each "node" on this tree represents a separate F&A base comprising a unique set of account codes which are eligible for F&A recovery. There are over 30 unique F&A bases (nodes), including the standard Modified Total Direct Cost base and Total Direct Cost (TDC) base. Use this job aid to determine which F&A Base is assigned to your grant.
The standard TDC base includes all of the expense account codes which are available for use on sponsored projects budgets.
