Feedback Driving ARCH Improvements Ahead of February Launch
Following feedback from research labs during October working sessions, the ARCH implementation team is actively refining system interfaces, terminology, and cage card formats to better support lab operations. In-vivarium trial sessions run through November 10 to test hardware setups in live environments. All users must complete the required ARCH Orientation and Navigation training prior to the February 10, 2027 go-live date.
New Policy Designates ARCH as Official System of Record for Animal-Related Data
The Research and Innovation Office has issued a new institutional policy designating the Animal Research Care Hub (ARCH) as the University’s authoritative electronic record system for all non-client vertebrate animal health, husbandry, and census data under approved IACUC protocols.
Interactive ARCH Working Sessions and User Feedback
Throughout October, the ARCH team is hosting hands-on interactive working sessions and cross-functional roundtables to help research labs navigate complex workflows, test hardware, and provide direct feedback ahead of the system launch.
