Research Animal Resources (RAR) provides an ATP swab testing service for additional quality assurance assistance to IMHA laboratories and principal investigators. This ATP swab testing service is intended to serve as a secondary support option for laboratory members who require ATP swab testing assistance. It is not intended to replace or duplicate IACUC’s ATP testing service.
Scope of Service
- Onsite Testing: RAR’s quality assurance coordinator performs all testing onsite.
- No Equipment Loans: ATP swab testing devices will not be loaned to laboratory personnel.
How to Request Support
Request testing by submitting the RAR ATP Swab Testing Request Form.
All required fields must be completed to allow for appropriate scheduling, preparation, and tracking. Contact information and group/laboratory affiliation must be included to allow RAR to coordinate testing as needed.
Before submitting, please review the key service guidelines below:
- Eligibility: Offered to laboratory members requiring additional ATP swab testing support.
- Advance Notice: Provide at least one week’s notice. RAR will confirm your request within five (5) business days. Testing cannot be scheduled during active inspection activities.
- Fees: The FY27 cost is $18.36/sample.
- Documentation: Laboratories must maintain their own ATP swab testing records and provide their own documentation form.
