To ensure user readiness across the research community, the Animal Research Care Hub (ARCH) go-live date has been adjusted from September 30, 2026 to February 10, 2027, allowing extra time for user training, process alignment, and system readiness across the animal research community.
Immediate Impact and Next Steps
- All daily operations and existing processes will remain in place, with no changes occurring on September 30.
- Current data collection requests are paused; thank you to everyone who has already responded to these requests.
- Animal ordering restrictions are lifted; orders can be placed on the standard schedule—submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Monday for arrival the following week.
- Previously scheduled September training sessions will proceed as planned; we strongly encourage all ARCH users to attend to get comfortable with the system ahead of time.
Extended User Readiness Phase
- Increased outreach and engagement, ongoing training opportunities, practice simulations, and tailored assistance for labs who require support aligning existing workflows with ARCH.
- A new policy designating ARCH as the official electronic record system for animal health and compliance at the University will be released soon. The policy will specify data requirements and compliance for researchers.
