The University of Minnesota and Launch Minnesota have together been named a finalist for the Minnesota Technology Association 2021 Tekne Awards in the Technology Partnership category.
For the past two decades, the Tekne Awards have recognized organizations that are leading-edge innovators in science and technology throughout Minnesota. UMN and Launch Minnesota are under consideration for the Technology Partnership award because of their collaboration to offer a multifaceted array of education, resources, and advising to support technology entrepreneurs across the state. The work aims to increase success among early-stage companies, build the state's entrepreneurial ecosystem, and amplify Minnesota as a national leader in innovation.
“Each year, the Tekne Awards celebrate Minnesota’s leaders and innovators in the technology field,” said Jeff Tollefson, president and CEO of MnTech. “Even amidst an ongoing pandemic, we are excited to recognize these companies and their efforts in spearheading technology and innovation both locally and globally.”
The 2021 Tekne Awards celebration on November 17 will reveal winners among the finalists in 13 categories.
