Sponsoring Research

Minnesota Innovation Partnerships (MN-IP) is an industry-friendly approach to contracting, allowing companies to quickly and easily partner with the University of Minnesota on research. With its up-front pre-negotiated IP (intellectual property) terms, MN-IP improves access and reduces the risk and cost to license University-developed technology created during an industry funded research project. Master research agreements (MRAs) are based on the MN-IP program.

Minnesota Research, Innovation, Solutions, Engagement (MN-RISE) is a new, streamlined process for businesses to collaborate with University of Minnesota experts, turning groundbreaking research into actionable solutions that drive growth and profitability. MN-RISE offers a custom RFP (request for proposals) program for companies to find innovative solutions for their specific technical and strategic needs and build a future talent pipeline.
