University Researchers Awarded for Efforts to Make Environmentally-Friendly Plastic Bags

A team of University of Minnesota researchers were recognized at the U's Inventor Recognition event for efforts to make an evironmentally-friendly plastic bag.

"'We're always asked about how are we benefitting society and how are we translating those findings into real societal benefit,' said Marc Hillmyer, a University chemistry professor. 'And I think it's important to recognize those who actually are effective at doing that and to teach people and tell people our stories.'"
