In April 2024, MN-GEMS replaced the University of Minnesota's previous electronic grants management system, EGMS. At that time, all new proposals and requests for UnFunded Research Agreements (activities requiring PRFs and MTARFs) were required to be initiated in MN-GEMS and the use of the EGMS platform was discontinued. Since then, EGMS has remained available to the research community in a "view only" state. On April 15, 2025, EGMS will be fully retired and information remaining in the system will no longer be accessible in its current form. Any information in EGMS that you'd like to keep for your records will need to be downloaded before April 15, 2025. REPA functionality in EGMS FormNirvana will continue to work as it does today. After April 15, there will be a way to request PRF reporting information if needed, though we strongly recommend retrieving the information before that time to ensure the information is available in its current form.
