Fall Grant-in-Aid Competition Opens August 18

Starting on August 18, applications will be accepted for the fall 2025 Grant-in-Aid of Research, Artistry, and Scholarship program, sponsored by the Research and Innovation Office.

The Grant-in-Aid program supports the University’s strategic plan MPact 2025 and academic excellence through the promotion of research, scholarly, and artistic activities of faculty throughout the University. Grant funds provide seed funding for a wide range of projects in seven funding categories, including a newly established Social Justice Impact category.

Note: We are especially interested in supporting entrepreneurial or collaborative projects that could result in near-term impact.

Timeline to apply:

Aug. 18: Application opens
Sept. 15: Principal investigator submits application to approvers (by 11:59 p.m.)
Sept. 18: Approvers submit application to RIO (by 11:59 p.m.)
Dec. 2025: Award notification
Jan. 1, 2026: Award period begins
