Pioneering AI Researcher Visits UMN

Venu Govindaraju giving a seminar on UB’s research enterprise

Venu Govindaraju, Vice President for Research and Economic Development and pioneering AI researcher at the University at Buffalo (UB), gave a seminar before several dozen UMN faculty, staff, and students on UB's research enterprise and the new National AI Institute for Exceptional Education that he is leading.

Govindaraju was on campus at the invitation of UMN Vice President for Research Shashank Priya and met with UMN leaders in AI and machine learning, robotics and sensors, education, and technology commercialization, among other fields, to find areas of potential academic collaboration between UMN and UB.
