UMN Research Ethics Week, March 2 - 6, 2026, is an annual week-long series of college and department-led educational opportunities focused on professional development and best practices to promote, maintain, and model high standards for ethics and integrity in research. This week features the Research Ethics Day Conference on Wednesday, March 4—a day-long free webinar on “The Future of Research Ethics: Threats & Opportunities.”

"I encourage all colleges, departments, campuses, and units to develop and share events they will sponsor as part of Research Ethics Week," said Interim Vice President for Research and Innovation, Joanne Billings. "Research ethics isn't just a requirement—it's a shared responsibility that spans all disciplines. I look forward to seeing broad engagement across our research community that will further strengthen the University's already strong culture of integrity and compliance."

Online and hybrid presentations during Research Ethics Week open new doors for cross-collaborative efforts to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned with a larger audience. The events provide opportunities for research teams (faculty, postdoctoral scholars, students, and technical staff) to get together and discuss best practices in cutting-edge research.

Submit a presentation/seminar to be posted on the Research Ethics Week website.
