A new U of M Crookston research center will encourage researchers to come together to collaborate across disciplines.
The Center for Collaborative Research opened in August. The research center is the first self-contained facility on campus that allows work in many different disciplines to be done from start to finish. It also provides important lab space for faculty research.
The lab was made possible by the University of Minnesota's Research Infrastructure Investment Program, according to a recent UMC news release. The grant from the program and a match of the same from UMC provided more than $500,000 to convert and equip a space in the Sahlstrom Conference Center.
